A team member has tested positive for the coronavirus (COVID-19). The employee was asymptomatic at all times while working their last shift on June 14th, 2020 and it is believed they contracted the virus from outside of the restaurant.All directly affected employees at the location have been notified. Since their last shift on June 14th, the store has been cleaned and sanitized many, many times. Additionally, the store has been professionally cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected since the employee’s last shift.
We continue to enforce our social distancing practices, temperature checks, and employee face covering protocols. Pluckers is committed to ensuring a safe environment for our employees and guests amidst this pandemic and is following, and in many cases going above and beyond, all CDC and state guidelines set forth.
As more asymptomatic individuals get tested, we anticipate additional positives cases.Please note that Texas is currently experiencing an influx of positive COVID-19cases. We also need our guests and staff to do their part to prevent community spread of COVID-19; observe social distancing, wear masks, and stay home if exposed to a symptomatic person. We all must work together to create as safe of an environment as possible during these difficult times.
Per recent research from the Harvard Medical School, the virus is spread from person-to-person contact and it is believed that it is not primarily spread via surfaces and lives only a few hours in the air. The virus is easily killed using disinfectant and sanitizer such as those used by Pluckers throughout the day when cleaning surfaces and tables. The store is cleaned, sanitized, and disinfected multiple times per day. Again, the store has also been professionally cleaned since the employee’s last shift.
